About 90180.app
90180.app is a free tool for counting days under the Schengen 90/180-day rule and planning trips around it. It is an independent project, built and maintained by Daniel Zelei. It is not affiliated with the European Union, any government or any visa agency.
Why it exists
The rolling 180-day window is hard to count by hand, general-purpose chatbots often get it wrong, and the official tools check one trip at a time. Since the Entry/Exit System started counting every day automatically, a counting mistake turns into a recorded overstay. 90180.app lets you put in all your trips, past and planned, and see the answer for every day.
How we keep it accurate
- The calculation follows Article 6 of the Schengen Borders Code and matches the method of the European Commission's short-stay calculator. It is covered by automated tests.
- Every factual statement on the site links to an official source: EU law on EUR-Lex, the European Commission, and government travel advice.
- Each page shows the date it was last checked. When rules change, for example when ETIAS gets a start date, we update the pages.
